Man, you must really like numbers if you’re thinking about taking the Math 2 SAT Subject test. It’s all cool, though, since I really like numbers too! Here’s a couple of pointers to help you study for the test. I’ll be referring to practice questions from the College Board’s website, so take a look at them as you read along. Tip 0: Read this post on how to take the Math 1 test. There are differences between the Math 1 and Math 2 subject tests. However, a lot of the strategies I wrote about studying for the Math 1 test will carry over to the Math 2 test. Look over those tips and try out some of the practice problems to get a head start on prepping for the Math 2 exam. Tip 1: Get friendly and freaky with functions. There are a LOT of questions about functions on the test. Of the 28 questions that the College Board provides, 11 of them are related to functions. And those questions usually go far beyond the usual If f(x) = 2x + 1, what is f(3)?  variety. You should know the definitions of domain and range and understand how to apply them to any particular function the test throws at you (see Question 15). You should know how to graph functions and find their maximum and minimum values (see Question 9). AND, you should know how to find a function’s inverse, or how to define a function given its inverse (see Question 25). In addition, there are also function word problems that you need to understand how to solve for as well. Take Question 21: In January 1990 the world’s population was 5.3 billion. Assuming a growth rate of 2 percent per year, the world’s population, in billions, for t years after 1990 can be modeled by the equation P=5.3(1.02)^t. Tip 2: Seek out the right triangle. In addition to there being a lot of function questions, there are also going to be a LOT of geometry questions. You’ll have to visualize 3D shapes in a slightly different way. You may even have to rotate them around in your mind to spot the right triangle. But rest assured it’s there. If you’re stuck, here’s a little hint that might help you out. As a side note, SOHCAHTOA will be one of your best friends for coordinate geometry problems. Check out Questions 18 and 22 and you’ll see why. Tip 3: Don’t forget about the small things. While studying functions and practicing geometry will get you pretty far in the Math 2 test, there are still a good chunk of questions left over. Unfortunately, pretty much anything you learned in algebra, geometry, trig, and even pre-calc and statistics are fair game. Fortunately though, the questions that they will ask are relatively straight forward and basic, like Question 19. For a class test, the mean score was 65, the median score was 71, and the standard deviation of the scores was 7. The teacher decided to add 5 points to each score due to a grading error. However, there are a LOT of topics that fall into this category, including (but not limited to): statistics, probability, sequences, limits, vectors, and matrices. It’s pretty enlightening to see how all these different math concepts play with one another. Try and find links of your own and you’ll get a better understanding of how numbers behave. Some claim they need to get home to their chores, although one is caught trying to escape to a brothel. Lysistrata assures the other women it wont be long; their husbands are in worse shape than they are. Soon men start showing up, trying everything to persuade their women to release them from their pointedly visible torments, but to no avail. Then a Spartan herald arrives to make a treaty. He, too, is very plainly suffering the priapism rampant among Athenian men. Lysistrata acts as go-between Sparta and Athens. After accusing both sides of dishonorable behavior, she persuades the men to agree to stop fighting. Male Female Actors The original comedy manipulated gender roles. Besides women acting like men (having political clout), there were men acting like women (all actors were male). The male characters wore large, erect leather phalluses like the one whose absence (see opening quote) Lysistrata laments. The convention of male actors playing female roles does appear to intrude into the text, just as it may have intruded into the performance. Femininity is represented by Aristophanes as the site of the ultimate comic figure: completely deceptive because she is not real at all. Besides that the company started spending money by buying uniforms for the drivers. They also invested money for buying the computer system required for effective management of warehouse. Training and development: As the workers, drivers and the union delegate are working in the organization for a long period of time therefore, it is significant to test the talent as well as improve their skills as well as knowledge for the new system that has been implemented. The newly appointed manager therefore initiated the program for development as well as training for the drivers and the workers. This was an innovative concept and the coordination is greater among managers and workers Blue Collar Union- Workplace changes Adaption According to the literature of HR management the transport workers are very much adaptive to the changes in workplace compare to the public sector. Blue color union is generally for the workers union who are drivers, fire fighters and workers in shop floor (Form, 2015). The workers in this field receive great support from the union compared to the people who are working in private sector as well as services. Workers indicated as blue collar are having highly talent with manual skills but having low literacy rate with low knowledge in academic skills. The payment done to them is based on hourly, weekly or daily depending on the structures of work (Moore, Grunberg Krause, 2014). They are too close as well as concern on the union then the organization management. The demands for this workers in market is higher as this types of job needs labor as well as manual worker compared to the service sector. It is also been seen that blue color union worker are paid much higher than white collar. Blue color worker are been recruited only for the production worker and has very less interaction with management. The blue color union workers mainly choose the union representatives (Andersen et al., 2016). The union representative negotiates and communicates with the management regarding any problems of workers.
