Internet is commonly used in business organizations for communication and for sharing business information among clients and business employees. Most of the companies have already contributed in industry of e-business and running their business successfully online. E-commerce or online business is an appropriate way to provide better and quick service to people through internet. Payment for purchasing can also be done from online website. To provide this amazing service to potential customers by business organizations, it is necessary to have a website from where users can use these options. In next segment of this report we will emphasize on three companies of this industry and also make comparisons among those companies for leveraging internet. Overall look and feel and other important concepts about websites we will discuss here in this report. The selected industry o n which we will emphasize in this whole report is online grocery industry. Various websites belong to this industry and sell different kinds of groceries online. Here we have selected an industry where most of companies have developed online e-business strategies with public B2C web sites. That industry is online grocery business. After choosing a particular industry, I have selected three companies those belong to this industry. These companies are Amazon, Freshdirect and Dukaany.com(Reserved, C, 2016). The reason of selectionof these companies is that these aregrowing quickly and also earning profitin online grocery industry. These companies have their websites and by using these websites, potential customers of this company do their online shopping and buy groceries according to their choice. Now in next segment of this report I will compare features of these websites(Coursehero.com, 2016). Comparison and Analysis of Companies Websites In this segment of report the main concerning factors to discuss are 7Cs and other characteristics of websites of Dukaany.com, FreshDirect and Amazon. Dukaany.com Dukaany.com is based in Middle East and it is a Saudi online grocery shopping and delivery website. The local customers of Riyadh and Saudi Arabia are targeted by Dukaany.com. Dukaany is aArabic word and it means my store and my shop. The daily revenue of this company is $13 and monthly revenue is about $395. The daily unique visitors of Dukaany.com are 1213(Dukaany.com, 2016). Freshdirect.com FreshDirect is a Company that delivers highest quality food from farm to table. FreshDirect Company solves the challenge of customers to buy a variety of groceries from online and offline supermarket. This company provides better quality vegetables to its customers and make their shopping quick and superior. FreshDirect provides fresher vegetables to people with its fastest service(FreshDirect, 2016). Amazon.com Amazon.com is an American electronic commerce and cloud computing company. It is most commonly used website by users for online shopping. Different kinds of products can be purchased from Amazon.com at reasonable prices. Besides this, in case of security and privacy, Amazon is also working effectively (WhatIs.com, 2016). 7Cs Analysis of Companies In case of marketing mix, 7Cs consists of Context, Content, Community, Customization, Communication, Connection and Commerce. Here I have done analysis of three companies in for 7Cs. Context In case of looks or context of website Fresh Direct is the best among Amazon.com and Dukaany.com. This website has very good color mix. The context of this website is analyzed in different ways such as performance and visual mix. In terms of visual context of FreshDirect.com includes section breakdown, navigation tools, linking structure and visual themes and schemes of color. Besides this, the sub-components of FreshDirect.com website are organized in better way and auto-navigation is also found on welcome page. The navigation on this website is easier to use for users and make it interesting for users. The color mixing of this website at every page is very nice and beautiful and enhance look and feel of website. Dukaany.com also has good color scheme and functionality (Rai, s., Rai, s., profile, 2016). Content In case of content, again FreshDirect is at first place than other to websites. This is because, at Amazon.com it only displays the groceries and does not tell about offers that are available with these groceries. Content is most important part of an online website to inform people about business products and services, so that must be represented on website in clear and attractive format. Content is considered a digital information that is available in the site. It has four dimensions such as appeal mix, offering mix, type of content and multimedia mix. Each dimension has choice about how to convey content. But at FreshDirect.com every item has good and clear explanation. It resolves all issues that are raised for content. If we talk about Dukaany.com, then it is at second position in case of content element of marketing mix. It provides information about products in organized and better form as compare to Amazon.com. That is why Amazon.com is at third place for content. Community Community element of marketing mix focuses on elements, benefits and types. A sense of membership is created through community by involving or share common interests. This interaction can be one-to-one or one-to-many. In case of community, Amazon.com is considered best, because it has best aspect of members for participating on a community. In Amazon.com most of the members are involved. In case of FreshDirect.com, community is engaged by directors of information. In Dukaany.com, community is socialized and developed by emotionally intense support groups. Customization The customization element of marketing mix refers to the ability of website to represent different content among users. If we talk about FreshDirect.com then it is customized for users. When a user enters into website then it welcomes users with welcome message. On other side Amazon.com is customized to ensure that customers are informed properly. On this website, when user comes then he/she has to enter zipcode to check whether Amazon has started delivery of product or not. Dukaany.com is at third place in case of customization. It shows its products in form of continuous playing clips. Prices of different items are also shown properly on website. Communication Communication element of marketing mix refers to communication between organization and website user. By Amazon.com and FreshDirect.com hybrid method of communication is used. On another side, Dukaany.com uses broadcast method of communication. Connection Amazon is considered best among FreshDirect.com and Dukaany.com for connecting customers worldwide. A self-generated content is used and it is linked to other websites. Dukaany.com is at second place and it has good content with some links to other websites. This website doesnt have any pop-up window. FreshDirect.com has some links that are directed to other sites but this website also have some pop-ups. Commerce The commerce element of marketing mix shows ability of the website for online transactions. Dukaany.com has various functions of E-commerce for online transactions. FreshDirect.com also has ecommerce functions for transactions. Amazon has one link for doing payment. In this way these three websites FreshDirect.com, Amazon.com and Dukaany.com are different from each other in form of appearance and look and feel. In above discussion we have compared these companies website on behalf of its color scheme, unique features, sense of community and commerce etc. These are essential characteristics of these websites, so no other characteristics is required to discuss here.
